To “brand yourself” is to alienate your life force into a reified image that reduces individuality to a Form without Content. Global capital smacks us in the face and then nums the pain by selling us trinkets.

Hate to be a downer but self-branding is a bad idea, expensive, and won’t work. People don’t automatically buy from you just because they heard of you and you’re memorable. 60 years ago, yes, but we’re now hit with over 4K messages/day. People buy because they believe you are the ‘BETTER CHOICE’ over your competition. This is NOT branding, it’s called POSITIONING. If branding was all it took, we’d all own Paris Hilton clothes. Even P&G doesn’t brand-they only use positioning in their marketing.
